Tree Plantation Drive with the Police Department (Tilak Nagar Police Station)
On the occasion of Independence Day, a special Tree Plantation Drive was organized in collaboration with the Police Department (Tilak Nagar Police Station), the NSS Unit of Manjunatha College, and Pragati College Cyber Warriors. The event began with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by the soulful rendition of the patriotic song “Maa Tujhe Salaam,” filling the atmosphere with pride and unity. Afterward, students and police officers came together to plant saplings with Senior Police Inspector and other officers of Tilak Nagar Police Station, symbolizing growth, peace, and a greener future. Along with the plantation activity, the Cyber Warriors conducted a short Cyber Crime Awareness Session, educating attendees on safe and responsible digital practices. The event beautifully combined patriotism, environmental care, and digital awareness — reflecting the spirit of responsible citizenship and love for the nation.
Organizing such events on Independence Day holds deep significance as it connects the celebration of national freedom with the responsibility of nation-building. While the day honors the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, events like tree plantation drives and awareness programs remind us that true patriotism goes beyond hoisting the flag — it lies in taking meaningful action for the country’s progress. Planting trees symbolizes growth, sustainability, and renewal, reflecting our duty to protect the environment for future generations. Similarly, spreading cybercrime awareness empowers citizens to stay vigilant and responsible in the digital era, safeguarding the nation from modern threats.
When students, police personnel, and citizens come together on Independence Day for such causes, it fosters a sense of unity, discipline, and civic duty, turning celebration into contribution. These activities inspire people to translate their love for the country into positive action — making Independence Day not just a commemoration of freedom, but a living expression of service, awareness, and collective responsibility toward a better India.
