SEX Education Drive and Self Defence Program @ Indala Group of Institutions
The GGUS Foundation, in collaboration with Helping Hands Welfare Society and ShivShambhu Seva Pratishthan, organized a powerful and impactful Sex Education Drive and Self-Defence Demonstration Program aimed at empowering youth with knowledge, awareness, and confidence. The initiative focused on breaking taboos around sex education by providing clear, age-appropriate information about physical health, consent, and safety—essential topics often overlooked in traditional education. Alongside this, the self-defence demonstrations equipped participants, especially young girls, with practical techniques to protect themselves in real-life situations. The program was well-received, sparking meaningful conversations and boosting self-assurance among attendees. It stood as a strong step towards building a more informed, confident, and safe community.
The Sex Education Drive and Self-Defence Demonstration Program organized by GGUS Foundation, in association with Helping Hands Welfare Society and ShivShambhu Seva Pratishthan, was not just important—it was truly transformative. In a society where open conversations about sex education are still considered taboo, this program created a safe, respectful space for young people to learn about their bodies, boundaries, and rights. It addressed critical topics like consent, menstrual hygiene, emotional well-being, and safe relationships, helping participants gain clarity and confidence.
Equally impactful was the self-defence component, which gave attendees—especially young women—practical tools and techniques to handle threatening situations. It not only empowered them physically but also mentally, instilling a strong sense of self-worth and preparedness. The program was highly effective in sparking awareness, boosting self-confidence, and encouraging a mindset of safety and self-respect. Many participants expressed gratitude, calling it an “eye-opener” and saying it gave them knowledge they wished they had received earlier. This initiative truly proved to be a valuable step towards building a safer, stronger, and more educated youth community.
