Waste Segregation Awareness
As part of the Navratri celebrations, a Janajagruti (public awareness) event was organized by GGUS Foundation and Innovation for Study Foundation in collaboration with KDMC, focusing on key challenges affecting the nation’s development. The theme of the day was “Waste Segregation Awareness'' - Waste segregation awareness is crucial for promoting a cleaner and healthier environment. By separating biodegradable, recyclable, and hazardous waste at the source, we can significantly reduce pollution, conserve natural resources, and enhance the efficiency of waste management systems. Raising awareness through educational campaigns in schools, communities, and workplaces helps people understand the importance of proper disposal habits and encourages responsible behavior. When individuals actively participate in waste segregation, they contribute to reducing landfill overflow, minimizing greenhouse gas emissions, and creating opportunities for recycling and composting. Ultimately, awareness is the first step toward building a sustainable future.
