Independence Day Special Awareness with Pragati & Manjunatha College, and Police Department
An Independence Day Special Awareness Program was organized in collaboration with Pragati College Cyber Warriors, NSS Unit of Pragati College, Manjunatha College, and the Police Department (Ram Nagar Police Station). The event focused on spreading awareness about drug addiction, cybercrime, and the spirit of Deshbhakti (patriotism) among youth and citizens. The highlight of the program was a powerful street play and a flash mob performed on the original GGUS patriotic song “AZADI – Ek Nayi Kranti,” which inspired the audience to embrace a new revolution of responsibility and unity. The program also featured impactful public speeches by students and officers, followed by a public pledge where participants vowed to stay away from drugs, use technology responsibly, and contribute actively to the nation’s progress. The event beautifully combined social awareness with patriotic fervor, igniting a sense of pride, purpose, and duty in every heart present. Special Thanks to Senior Police Inspector - Mr. Ganesh Sir of Ram Nagar Police Station, Dombivli East
During the event, a collective public pledge was taken by all participants, students, teachers, and officers, reaffirming their commitment to the values of national unity, cyber awareness, drug-free living, and true Deshbhakti. With hands raised and hearts filled with pride, everyone vowed to stand united as responsible citizens of India — to respect the diversity of the nation, to stay alert and ethical in the digital world, to reject drugs and any form of addiction that weakens body and mind, and to dedicate their energy toward the progress and protection of the country. The powerful moment of the pledge echoed the spirit of freedom and responsibility, reminding everyone that patriotism is not only about loving the nation, but also about living with honesty, awareness, and compassion for society.
Conducting such awareness programs is extremely important for building a responsible, informed, and conscious society. In today’s time, challenges like drug addiction and cybercrime are silently harming our youth and communities, while the spirit of patriotism and social responsibility is often overshadowed by distractions and misinformation. Awareness programs not only educate people about the dangers and consequences of these issues but also empower them to make better life choices. By using engaging mediums like street plays, flash mobs, music, and public interaction, these programs connect directly with people’s emotions and make the message memorable and impactful. Collaborating with educational institutions, police departments, and organizations encourages collective action and helps create a strong network of change-makers. Moreover, when such initiatives are tied to national occasions like Independence Day, they remind everyone that true freedom lies not just in independence from external control, but also from internal and social evils. These awareness drives plant the seeds of discipline, unity, and responsibility, shaping a generation that is not only tech-savvy but also ethically and socially aware.
