Garbage Spot Survey - Research and Analysis for KDMC
GGUS Foundation conducted a detailed survey for the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) as part of a research and analysis initiative focused on a major garbage spot in the city. The aim of the survey was to identify the root causes of waste accumulation, understand the surrounding community's waste disposal habits, and assess the impact on public health and the environment. Foundation volunteers conducted on-ground inspections, interviewed local residents and shopkeepers, and collected data on waste types, frequency of dumping, and existing civic infrastructure. The findings were compiled into a comprehensive report to assist KDMC in formulating effective waste management strategies and awareness campaigns. This initiative reflected GGUS Foundation’s commitment to sustainable urban development and community-driven solutions.
