Tree Plantation Drive 2025 with NYF, NSS and other organizations

Creating a mini forest in the heart of our city - Dombivli - The Tree Plantation and Nurturing Drive 2025 was a remarkable environmental initiative jointly organized by the Nirmal Youth Foundation, GGUS Foundation, Advait Coaching Classes, and Eagle Brigade Foundation, with the strong support of the NSS units of Manjunath College, Model College, and Pragati College. The event was co-sponsored by Chemtech Cement Concrete Pvt. Ltd., KVK Accounting Solution, and Parab Associate, reflecting a powerful collaboration between educational institutions, social organizations, and the corporate sector. The drive aimed to promote environmental sustainability, climate awareness, and green urban development by planting and nurturing hundreds of saplings across public and community spaces. Volunteers, students, and citizens came together with enthusiasm to contribute to a greener future, learning the importance of caring for each plant as a living commitment to Mother Earth. The initiative not only focused on plantation but also emphasized the ongoing nurturing and protection of trees, symbolizing long-term responsibility towards nature. The event beautifully embodied the spirit of “One Tree, One Life”, inspiring collective action for a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable tomorrow. Special Guest lecture with live demo on Rain water harvesting and Composting was also conducted by President Indian Society of Structural Engineers Er. Hemant Vadalkar.

All participants — including students, volunteers, and dignitaries — took a public pledge for the protection of our environment, reaffirming their commitment to preserving nature and promoting sustainable living. With hands raised in unity, everyone vowed to plant more trees, reduce plastic use, conserve water and energy, and protect natural resources for future generations. The pledge emphasized that environmental protection is not just a responsibility but a sacred duty of every citizen toward Mother Earth. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of purpose and collective determination as participants promised to act as guardians of nature, nurturing every sapling and inspiring others to join the green movement. This powerful moment symbolized hope — a shared vision of creating a cleaner, greener, and healthier planet through awareness, action, and unity.

Planting trees and protecting our environment is one of the most important responsibilities we have toward our planet and future generations. Trees are often called the lungs of the Earth because they absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen, helping to maintain the planet’s natural balance. They reduce air pollution, prevent soil erosion, conserve water, and provide shelter to countless species of birds and animals, thus preserving biodiversity. Beyond their environmental role, trees also contribute to human well-being — they cool our cities, reduce noise, and offer peace and beauty to our surroundings. In today’s world, where climate change, deforestation, and pollution are growing threats, tree plantation is not just an act of kindness to nature but a necessity for survival. Protecting the environment ensures clean air, safe water, fertile soil, and a stable climate — the foundation of all life. Moreover, it teaches us responsibility, patience, and respect for nature’s interconnected systems. Every tree planted today is a living investment in a greener, healthier, and more sustainable tomorrow, reminding us that real progress comes when humanity grows in harmony with nature.
