Sex Education drive & AIDS Awareness Program @ Pragati College Dombivli
GGUS Foundation, in collaboration with the Red Ribbon Club, organized a comprehensive Sex Education Drive and AIDS Awareness Program for the students of Pragati College, Dombivli. The initiative aimed to educate young minds on the importance of sexual health, safe practices, and the prevention of HIV/AIDS. Through interactive sessions, expert talks, and engaging activities, students gained valuable insights into topics often considered taboo, helping to break stigma and encourage open conversations. The program emphasized the significance of early awareness and responsible behavior, empowering students to make informed choices and contribute to a healthier, more informed society.
During the Sex Education Drive organized by the GGUS Foundation and the Red Ribbon Club at Pragati College, the harmful effects of pornography addiction were explained in a sensitive yet impactful manner. Experts highlighted how excessive consumption of porn can distort a person’s understanding of healthy relationships, body image, and sexuality. It was explained that addiction to porn can lead to unrealistic expectations, emotional detachment, and even decreased interest in real-life intimacy, which can affect personal and social relationships.
The session also addressed how it can negatively influence mental health, causing anxiety, guilt, and lowered self-esteem, especially among teenagers. Educators emphasized the difference between fantasy and reality, encouraging students to approach the topic with critical thinking and self-awareness. Through open discussion and real-life examples, the drive promoted digital responsibility and self-control, helping students understand the importance of developing healthy habits and maintaining respectful attitudes toward themselves and others.
