On the occasion of 26th January – Republic Day, the GGUS Foundation in collaboration with the NSS unit of Manjunatha College organized a powerful flash mob and street play to engage the public in a meaningful way. Held in a public space to maximize outreach, the performance aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of excessive and uncritical use of social media. The street play highlighted how current social media algorithms are increasingly promoting toxic content, leading to mental health issues, misinformation, and a culture of negativity. Through impactful dialogues, expressive performances, and a strong social message, the event successfully urged the audience to reflect on their digital consumption habits and the urgent need for mindful engagement with online platforms.
